Kinja'd!!!

Along with my obvious love for cars, I am also very passionate about music. I am an aspiring musician and music has been a large part of my life since birth. Combining my love for cars and love for music is an opportunity I often jump at. Both cars and music can provoke intoxicatingly powerful emotions in the right person, so a combination of the two would be like taking a big hit of alcocrackajuanameth. Side effects may include: Arriving at your destination 20 minutes early with a childlike grin on your face. Driving down your favorite road in your favorite car blasting your favorite song. It doesn't get much better than that.

Being the massive One Direction fan that I am, it only makes sense that my favorite driving song is by Led Zeppelin. (I'm not really a One Direction fan, I have far to much self respect to listen to that garbage.) The song in question is titled "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp" off of Led Zeppelin III. It is an upbeat acoustic piece about singer, Robert Plant's dog named Strider. Whats not to love?

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is arguably the greatest version of the song around. It is off a live album called "How The West Was Won." Robert Plant sings like a god, Bonham kicks the bass drum with the precision of a Swiss watch, Jonesy is spot on as always in his chromatic, thumping bass lines. And Jimmy Page is perfectly imperfect. All as you would expect from live Zeppelin.

Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp is best fit while driving through the mountains, halfway through a whole day of driving. This songs happy nature and bubbly lyrics gives anybody hope. Hope that no matter where you are going to, or where you came from, there is something good just waiting around the corner.

So what is your favorite driving song? Any stories to accompany? Let me know in the comments below!

This song probably accompanies more driving montages in movies than any other, and for good reason. It is absolutely perfect.

I have 2, that tie:
1) Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

The story behind this is that my mom likes it, and while travelling up Hwy 97 from Lake Tahoe back home to Seattle, There is simply nothing better to belt out at speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour
2) Lady - Modjo

Recent development, this one. Still, nothing better to belt down country roads with. really like it!

This was like 3 years ago but i remember in particular one song that i always put more times than the rest. Hotel California, dayum, and all the bass to the max, you felt the chills. I really enjoy driving to that song.
The bad part is that when you repeat some songs for too long they stop feeling special, so you have to vary your choices once in a while.

For me, it started in GTA V, then I put it on my phone, and now... well... I love it!

I listen mostly to 70's and 80's music. One of my favorite convertible cruising pieces is L'aventurier by French new wave band Indochine.

It depends on the occasion for me. If I have to visit a Canadian plant in wintertime, death and Viking metal all the way. When I ride the motorcycle on some long windy canyons I sing to myself, when I take the Jeep muddin it's Hank III and friends all day, yadda yadda. And if I'm leaving work after a shitty day.... I'm belting out Let it Go

I doubt anyone has heard of them, but pretty much anything from the album "Saloon" by The Ongoing Concept. Specifically the songs "Saloon" and "Fears & Failures". They are toe-tapping good to listen to. Great topic by-the-way, it's relative to me as well.

Don't be too harsh but Nickleback's "Animals" it was playing the first time I made out with a chick in the back of my car, my badass 1998 Lumina LTZ , I was 16.

I listen to many songs in the car, but there are a few particular ones that help get the adrenaline flowing.

1) Border Patrol - James S. Levine. You might recognise this song from many of Clarkson's films, they're usually played in the intro and credits...

2) On Days Like These - Matt Munro (I mean how could you not like this)

3) Perfect Girls - Dream (this one's good for highway blasts and was used for the movie Wangan Midnight)

4) Yesterday - Dynamic Black (I find this great for night drives)

5) Let Out The Beast - EXO-K (if a Korean car company were to ever build a brilliant performance car in the future, this ought to be the song used in its advertisement)
